About the program

Change / Exchange is an artist-centered international exchange and co-production program created to help foreign artists who already have ongoing relationships with the Czech Republic, to expand and deepen these relationships by creating new collaborations with Czech and foreign artists, and to show these and other related projects in the Czech Republic and in the originating artist's country of origin.

Change / Exchange 2012

change exchange 2012

This year we are collaborating once again with Mexican choreographer, fine artist and performer Cristina Maldonado’s Exchange Committee, promoting interchange of contemporary performing arts and arts pedagogy across cultures and continents.

In the summer of 2012 we will have three projects in Mexico City. The first is an interactive, site-specific workshop for children aged 9 to 12, which will take place at the Spanish Cultural Institute in Mexico City. Afterwards, Howard Lotker will recreate HoME’s Oedipus (complexly) with Antonio Salinas’ (part of Change/Exchange 2010) local company Luna Avante. The final project will be a workshop production of our site-specific project DoMA/at HoME with young Mexican artists and performers which will take place in an apartment in Mexico City.

The festival organizing the event is Cuerpoferomenal. Czech based artists Tomáš Procházka, Ioana Popovici and Susanne Kass will be presenting their work, as will Mexican artists and performers like Cristina Maldonado, Zuadd Atala, and the Luna Avante company.
